too much is not enough

I made it 26 years. Had my first cavities filled this morning. It’s been a while coming, and the fact that my insurance situation will be a little more uncertain after next Friday (my last day here) prompted me to call up the dentist and have it taken care of.

Remarkably pleasant experience. They told me exactly what they were going to do (always a plus) and gave me headphones so I could drown out the ambient noises from the procedure with local radio and whatnot. I dozed off a couple of times near the end of it and had to wake myself up to pay and leave. The local numbness is finally wearing off… I think I’ve had enough anesthesia pumped into me in the past month to kill a horse. *sigh*

Strangely enough, thumbing through the images on this page does not discourage me from wanting to be a pilot.
