Stress level doesn’t seem to be descending… It’s really bothering me. Earlier this evening, before I went for the run and released some of the excess energy, I felt so tightly wound that I don’t know what would have happened if I hadn’t done something. I don’t know what I need… The run helped, that’s for sure, but something in me feels like I need to talk, maybe? I don’t know.

Donald and John and I just hung out earlier in the evening, John with his beer after returning from astronomy class, Donald post-workout at the Carolina gym, and me after my run, just sitting and playing GT2 and eating some PB toast. We decided, through various conversational threads, that good names for bands would be Lightspeed Cockroach and Spin Buffer. For what genres we didn’t quite hammer out… Maybe punk? Regardless, it’s great to have roommates :o)

You forgot that you can ram riced-out Civics with your truck!

Not that I’m making light of your stress — I really do hope you feel better.

If you stick a “the” in front of either one of your proposed band names, you would have a punk band. The Lightspeed Roaches, The Spin Buffers, The Last Unicorns (that one is mine, don’t pilferate it), etc.

    Thank you, Emily :o)

About the band name thing… That’s a good thought–about putting “the” in front of the names. I think that would work for the Spin Buffers, but for our fans to really be able to call us LSCR for short (crucial, mind you), Lightspeed Cockroach needs to exist without the “the.”

Oh, and The Last Unicorn is a most huzzahworthy movie.

Seriously (or not so seriously), that would be a cool job to put on your resume–Current Occupation: Band Namer.

    :o)

Hey, speaking of cockroaches….check this out (warning: don’t be eating anything right now unless you want it on your keyboard…this is pretty gross. I don’t even know why I’m telling you): Okay, in our room there are some cockroaches. Every now and then they come out…. I guess. Anyways, I guess Martin took care of this one because it was just chillin’ there…in two pieces. It’s head/neck and the body. The body wasn’t really moving. But I guess that’s understandable since he didn’t really have control over his body once his head wasn’t attached. But his head was still moving around. For all I know, Martin could have killed him a couple hours ago. And this dude’s still moving around. Weird. And his antennas…still moving. Oh, and if you thought that was really gross, don’t read this next part. It grosses me out… So being guys, neither of us have done anything about it. Just sort of left it there in hopes that it would magically disappear. No such luck. I go back to it after our game and there are ants all over it. Totally gross, eh?

Lovely, D, just…lovely. I have enough sympathy for most bugs to put them outside when they’re discovered, but cockroaches get flushed, unequivocally.

Sounds like a State dorm, though… *sigh*
