my usual monday morning post about wanting to go back to bed

Published on September 8, 2003

I want to go back to bed. It is cold outside, and rainy, and grey, and everything that you think a Monday would stereotypically be. When the heat finally came on in the car it made things quite cozy and created an environment all the more condusive to sleep, and of course it didn’t help that the commute seemed longer than it normally does as well. Is it a sign that I’m not getting enough sleep when I wake up in the morning and my toothbrush is still wet from last night?

Took me forever to get to sleep last night, too. I tossed and turned for half an hour, and then kept waking up… Thank goodness I got that nap yesterday.

Erg…mornings…

Oh, man, it’s beautiful here. THat “Tropical Storm” we were s’posed to get? Skipped us entirely. But I wish it was dreary and yucky so I could crawl back in bed . . . I don’t have classes today. However, I do have to do a lot of homework. Yay.

At least your morning was nice and clear… Ours is today (a marked contrast from yesterday). And it doesn’t have to be dreary and yucky for me to crawl back into bed :o) Except for that little annoying thing called a conscience that would be bothering me the whole time–oh well.

    Hope homeworking went well.

Been meaning to tell you, too–I’m incredibly jealous of your recent concert experiences. Everything sounds mighty fab: the numbers of bands you got to see, the bands that were playing, and of course the Jars concert. I reckon I should really get their latest album :o)

I think all alarm clocks should be henceforth banished from the earth, to be replaced by a more easily arranged variable concept of time that would allow us to sleep in as late as we wanted and still be on time for things. A variant of the Theory of Relativity, see–an extremely local temporal relativity. Yeah. Then everyone could get as much (or as little) sleep as they wanted.

Three hours? Goodness. No, that isn’t a good thing, especially as I get really annoyed by the whole insomnia thing after just half an hour or so. I’m sorry :o(

Thanks! I’ve been asking people to actually reply to that entry if they have a comment about it, but I guess that’s being a little too uptight about stuff . . . ‘cuz I know that the majority of the people on my friends list, whom I see on a regular basis, don’t care; so the people I do know through Christian groups or Christian people should speak up ;)

But it’s okay. I had so much fun. I love concerts! Someday (when I don’t have homework due) I’m going to put together and publish a list of all the concerts I’ve been to and all the CDs I have. :)

    *grins* Take care :)
