The weather’s beautiful today for just about any activity except flying. The rent clouds scurry across the sky at a breakneck pace as clusters of new petals are swept about by the gusts closer to the ground. No stage check this morning. I should be slightly relieved, and I am, but honestly it’s more because of the certainty of knowing than not having the stage check. The wind wasn’t blowing quite as hard when I drove to the airport and there was still some question as to whether we’d fly, but…after preflighting the plane I checked with the lead instructor and we decided the ceiling wasn’t high enough for the kinds of maneuvers we’d be doing. So no stage check, one that I was very much looking forward to having under my belt. But at least I knew.
Didn’t sleep much last night. I took a nap yesterday afternoon, an activity facilitated by the very large lunch David and I shared (he made mashed potatoes; I made chicken fajitas). But I also went for a run last night, which in theory should cancel out the late-night alertness fostered by the nap, but… It still took me a good while to fall asleep, tossing and turning.
Goals for this week:
– Write & send prayer letters
– Balance checkbook
– Have David and Derek sign leases
– Start looking for front control arms for the Audi and talk with Jeff about using the compressed air and hydraulic press in the hangar
– Re-start Sophie’s World
Among other things.

i want to get your prayer letter. i need someone else to support now that i am not missionarying it up myself. ;)
Sounds good. E-mail me your new address and I’ll send you one :)
Mashed potatoes and chicken fajitas? What a strange food combination.
I approve.
Yeah it was, um, filling. To say the least.
Let’s just say we didn’t exactly coordinate foodstuffs beforehand.
How are you to-day?
Well, you are officially halfway. How are those goals coming along?
