two things
1. Pearl Jam. I don’t understand their popularity. I suppose it’s really all a matter of personal taste, but for my money their music is hackneyed, derivative, and just kinda boring. I dunno. I will concede, however, that they have one of the best band names ever, right up there with Aphex Twin, Violent Femmes and Cheap Trick.
2. I balanced my checkbook for two consecutive weeks for the first time in a long time. That’s a good feeling. Knowing exactly how much I have, and watching the numbers all come out correctly. Nice.
Eww, Pearl Jam. I remember my sister used to hate them solely because people called her Pearl Jam when they learned of her middle name. And I agree, the Violent Femmes is a great name, as is Belle & Sebastian. And Backstreet Boys…
