I don’t want to just survive. I want to thrive.

My best thoughts always come to me while I’m running… There’s something about exercise to occupy enough of my mind to give space for the really essential thoughts to come to the forefront to be dwelled upon.

Moving to Winston-Salem is really going to be the boot camp of my life. There are so many things I could do, want to do, will do. It’s safe to say that most of my days will be occupied with school, but afterwards, I want to do so many thing to use my God-given abilities, and to stretch those I already employ. I want to publish that children’s book I’ve been doing sketches for and start my own graphic/web design small business/consulting service, among other things. I certainly have the experience and the portfolio pieces to present myself well. I’ll probably have another third-shift job too–who knows where.

The common thread that ties all these together is that I know I’ll have success in them. It’s not just some idle pondering and meek wondering, “Ooh, I hope that would work out if I tried it…” No–it’s a certain knowledge that I’ll have success in that which I need to survive. I’ll be provided for, and more–I’ll thrive.

And this movie is going to rock. Just finished the book–absolutely brilliant stuff.

    wow, rock on dude!

sheesh, and I thought I was the only one masochistic enough to put so much on myself ;)

maybe we could be like, mutual peer pressure for each other, sound good?

I’m starting French class next week (whoo hoo), on top of my two jobs, and my (hopefully, since the audition is this weekend, but hey, how could they turn me down?) rock band gig… aw yeah. Oh, and I’m trying to write news articles for some online news sources.

    we can do it!

Well…it’s incremental, see. I won’t be putting all that on myself at once to be sure–some things will start and get established before others do. But I have a feeling it’ll all be going simultaneously at some point.

You are a life-multitasker extraordinaire :) I don’t know how much inspiration I could throw your way, but I’ll do what I can!
