Spring is a weird time of year. Sometimes I almost feel like the perceived fickleness of the weather during the season (even if it’s no more variable than it is any other time of the year) gives it an unstable, almost volatile quality that plays havoc with my stress levels. Maybe it’s the fact that it’s relatively early in the year and the possibilities locked up in the rest of the months lay before me–the anticipation is strong. Maybe it’s because it’s intrinsically a season of change, much as autumn is, but the latter season bears down on the known quantity that is the holidays, giving it a more stable feel. I don’t know what it is, but I can feel it coming.
So many people I know are going through major life changes this year. It definitely sets this year apart from the last, which was quiet by and large. I’m moving to W-S, Stephen is too, Donald’s getting married, Aaron’s looking for a job, David’s interning in Illinois over the summer, people are starting school, finishing school, moving, changing jobs left and right… The landscape of my friends will be substantially different when the dust settles and the end of the year rolls around–not that I’ll be losing any, but that so many tectonic shifts are occurring within their respective lives.

Spring is
a weirdan amazing time of year.Agreed :) But I don’t think weirdness and amazingness are exclusive qualities in a season.
I’m so excited for you about your recent news! That’s awesome.
