For the longest time I thought it was just one person. Hmm.
Tailgating = Number one pet peeve whilst driving. Especially if it’s a four lane road and they’re seemingly incapable of using the other lane to pass me. If you tailgate me, I will slow down, be forewarned. On a four lane road with a speed limit of 45 mph I made it all the way down to 20 mph before the idiot got off my bumper and sped around me. No other traffic on the road, mind you. Amazing stuff. If you are less than one and a half car lengths behind me, you are tailgating. Why oh why can’t I just live in Germany, where they know how to drive…?
Going skiing as a chaperone with the youth group this afternoon. We’re headed to Winterplace in WV. Not great, but it’s close to the best we can do here in central NC as far as resorts within a reasonable driving distance. Should be fun, provided I can find the two or three guys on the bus who actually know how to ski reasonably well. Nah–it’ll be fun regardless. I’ll be back on Sunday.
I do the same thing (in regards to tailgating). People have a phobia of passing me on the left side, because usually, when they do pass me, it’s on the right.

Funny you should say that, as my friend Amy thought it’d be cool to tailgate me all the way to my house. Hahaha… this is just not my day on the road.

wait wait wait…… what lane were you in? b/c depending on the lane determines the justifiability of the tailgating.. that and the speed you were doing when the person decided to tailgate. my rule is, if you’re in the left lane and you’re not doing at least the speed limit, you need to move. *L* or i’ll make you move. granted, this is my guidline that i live by. ;)

Ah. Saving the environment and all, eh? So does that mean tailgating=environmentally responsible? They are saints and should be cannibalized…or something. ;-P
American drivers are so dumb (present company excluded of course). How I wish they’d enforce a “no passing on the right” rule…

I was in the right lane. I have the same thought about the left lane too. How do you get them to move? Flashing hi-beams is my preferred technique.
