There’s a pecan log roll in my office. It was donated by the powers that be who deposit food in the kitchen and then decide that no one’s going to eat it so they pass it off to people who they feel like have a healthy metabolism and/or omnivorous roommates but who don’t really want it and would probably either try to pass it off again or light it on fire and throw it in the pond with all the other rejected holiday eats. Anybody local want it? It’s yours.
I’m ready to go skiing. I’m chaperoning the youth group ski retreat at the end of the month (28-30), but I want more than just that this season. David just got new skis. Maybe I’ll hijack those for a daytrip.
My mother would shoot you for wasting a perfectly good pecan log roll.
What about the fruitcake? Would she shoot me for “wasting” that?

There is an abundance of unwanted food in CH today. I just put training leftovers of entire trays of cheese and crackers up for grabs in our office kitchen.

Hey man. Skiing: 2 nights/2 day of skiing at showshoe is around $120, if I read it correctly. 4 nights/4 days is around $220. That’s plenty of skiing. I’ve thought about doing that myself, but I’d have to find 3 other people. Yeah…maybe I’ll give you your birthday present early…You can borrow my skis :)
skiiiiiing. i love skiing, and having gone with my sister the day after christmas is going to make *not* skiing for the rest of the season really hard. but i doubt i’ll have the time, and i’m pretty sure i don’t have the money…not to mention the fact that i’m skeptical of there being any good placed to ski reasonably close to here…
Imma bust out the acetylene torch this time, I think.

You definitely have quite a repertoire. I’ve always liked the one of your eyes just peeking out from behind whatever that blue thing is. And of course the Camera Degli Sposi and Las Meninas are winners too.

There aren’t any really good places to ski ’round here (or for my money, anywhere besides the Rockies or the northeast). But eventually the desire to go skiing conveniently overrides any reservations about the crappiness of the resort.
hmm. never been skiing. would love to go, especially snowboarding. fly off a hill at 50mi/hr and break something. yeah. that’d be awesome. haha.
