What an interesting movie. I will say it is hard to watch. Bad theology through and through, but it gets points for really going for the gusto and not taking the easy Hollywood way out. For what it’s worth, C.S.Lewis’s The Great Divorce is a much more in-depth, interesting, and compelling examination of what amounts to basically the same thing–peoples’ responses to the Biblical concept of the afterlife.

Here is our tree that we purchased on Wednesday night:

I’m going to water it every other day. I have it marked on my calendar when to water it. I should probably buy some of that tree food too. Last year’s tree was like a wire brush after just a week or so.

And I got this in the mail today:

It’s a strut spring compressor so I can install lower control arm and upper strut mount bushings in my car much more easily. And as I’ve always said, the best tools are invariably the ones that look most like medieval torture devices. Yep.

Hi Erica! Thank you! Do you have one in your apartment?

  5. admin says:

Yes, of course. I have a good amount of space in my Lycos account, so just send ’em there first (I’m assuming they’ll be, like, normal-sized).

I agree. The tree at my parents’ has a great topper–it’s a star with a conical spring on the end, so it just fits perfectly on the very top of the tree. I think something similar is in the cards for our tree.

no, they are giant godzilla-sized mp3s (image of you running screaming from your computer as the mp3 emerges and stomps around, destroying the apartment)

  8. well, if you can call it a christmas tree!

    haha
