I have a physical today. I don’t really want to go. Ugh.

Had a great time last night playing racquetball for the first time since college. With Natalie. She’s pretty good–I only won the second game by a handful of points. I think it’s time to have the where-is-this-going conversation, since we’ve been out for lunch and other things a few times in the past month and a half, and our dialogue after the end of the game, just before she went back up to her apartment, was a little awkward in the sense that I got the slight feeling that she may have been expecting something…though what I can of course only conjecture. And my catastrophic cluelessness with members of the opposite sex is well-known. But no matter how I view the situation, the long-term, closer relationship possibilities just aren’t there. And it’s colossally unfair to her to leave her guessing at my intentions–I have to be clear. It’s just hard to do. Broaching the subject is never easy… and I want to keep her as a friend. Prayers?

Thanks, Em. It did go well–she was an explainer, which is always a good thing. I like to know exactly what’s going on and why when it comes to my body (and anything, really). Got a perfect bill of health, with a recommendation that I stop eating so many energy bars and start eating more veggies :o)
