I used to know that song. I had a vision of things and the way I used to dream across a few summers. Strings of lights, contrails separated at the hilt as the origins diverged, moving towards me. Movements in an inverted light, ghostly outlines of clouds against a black sky. I used to dream about shape and form and color. Their metaphors were splayed on the surface, though, given equal resonance with the more conventional aspects and conformities of the dream.
there’s beauty in the breakdown
Donald, John, and I had a good half-hour discussion of the economic system of our lovely country last night in the aftermath of tax return preparation. I got screwed over pretty royally by a previous employer, who withheld a whopping $79 for the federal government for three months worth of work. Ah well. It’s not like I won’t be able to eat for the rest of the month, but the Bulls game on Friday evening is going to be the last superfluous expense for a while, I think. I’m definitely keeping an eye on that category on my check stubs from now on.
I haven’t felt like writing in here lately, and when I do it’s all mudanity and gibberish. Maybe I should take a break.

Well. Keep in touch if you abandon ye olde LJ.
Kind of ironic given the tardiness of this comment and my absence from AIM lately, but I intend to.
Hope you had a lovely weekend :o) Sorry to hear about your voice going out on the week of opening night… Yikes. Prayers.
Thanks.
Hope all is well in your neck of the woods. :)
