Just got off the phone with Jim at printing… Looks like the books are going to be able to be printed Friday, assuming I get him everything by this evening, which WILL happen–so that’s a big relief. I think I should have called him before I started, though, since 4-color is going to cost relatively the same for duotones + black, which is what I’m designing, given the short printing run. Ah well. But it’s good to know they can do it in time.
Weekend was lovely. I ate too much candy yesterday, but other than having to work the day was pleasant. Got a chance to talk to Jamie at church for a bit, just to see how he and Andrea are doing–hadn’t talked to him in a while.
Saturday I went to Carowinds with Jenn and her friend Dave, in honor of our mutual friend Flora’s birthday. She had invited a smattering of friends and folks from their church, so we had a sizable group. I had never been before (I’ve not been to an amusement park in the US), and three roller coasters I rode were exactly three more than I had ridden before I went (Space Mountain at Disneyworld doesn’t really count–it’s kind of a dinky ride). I rode the Borg Assimilator, Top Gun, and Thunder Road. I’ve never been much of a roller coaster fiend in the past, and granted, I did have to remind myself to breathe on a couple of occasions, but overall they were very fun.
Okay, Randi just came by again to check on progress, and it turns out that they want these things hardcover. By Friday. Real nice. I hate these people.
