you know everyone in the world, but you feel alone
I’m such a lazy bum some days… Fortunately today, although I got up rather late, was productive–I closed my office door and started knocking stuff out, emailing people, doing corrections, designing, everything that I had been putting off for a little while, at least over the weekend… It feels good. I have a headache from all the sugarless gum I’ve been chewing like a machine, but that’ll go one I displace it in my system with something else.
I got Mac OS X for my computer, which means I likely won’t be able to use my pirated copies of Photoshop and Illustrator any more. Ah well. I feel like I’m coming clean in more than one way–the interface isn’t the only thing. It’s the first new look my computer’s had in six years of ownership, though. I like it. The navigation did take a while to get used to, but iTunes is the bomb, video files play with no hesitation, and it makes life easier in a lot of other ways–the ability to just plug in the digicam and have it connect automatically is a boon. Now if I only had more than 256M of RAM and more than 6G of hard drive space, life would be complete…

ok i have a dumb question .. what exactly is iTunes? :)
iTunes is basically a glorified mp3 and cd player that comes bundled with Mac OS X and is now available for PCs as well. You can access hundreds of (quite good) internet radio stations through it, sort your music files, and connect to other peoples’ music files on the same local network as you. It’s a great program.
Apple made it in hopes of adapting to the current movement towards listening to music purely electronically, without cds. Taking the “if you can’t beat ’em, join ’em” approach to pirated mp3s, they opened the iTunes store, where you can download just about anything you want for $1 a song, through iTunes. I think it’s a pretty cool idea.
