I’ve definitely had my fill of Gran Turismo on the PS1 over the course of the past day or so… Reminds me why video games in general leave a bad taste in my mouth. Yeah, productivity, thy name was not Matt today, at least at home. Work was good–got the fall issue of Around the Hill done (the newsletter for the sickeningly rich alumni). Lunch, also, was particularly notable. Good friends and conversation make the hour pass entirely too quickly…

Something real tonight? Possibly. Where am I going? What am I really doing, and who for? What becomes of all those hours languished away in the throes of laziness? Wasted, disappeared… I shouldn’t define my life by my level of productivity or busyness or the number of activities I make a difference in, but things start somewhere–there’s a foundation that undergirds and would hem in my daily dallying that I need to establish. It’s life; it’s maturity; it’s being an adult. Trite maybe, but I think I need to grow up.

Also, Apples to Apples party here at the apartment, Saturday night, 7 p.m. Be here.

What is an Apple to Apples party?

It’s a party involving this game. We’d play it as a party game, but recently decided that it was such a cool game, that given the right set of people, the game could be a party justification in itself. Yep, we’re a bunch of geeks. But it is truly an awesome game.

I’ve never even heard of that game. I am greatly intrigued. Especially if it is geeky. No, only if it is geeky.

Apples to Apples is the very essence of geekiness.

Okay not really, but it is pretty darn fun :o)

Buy it. It’s worth the money. I think I’m going to order the expansion packs…
