Rob: I want more; I wanna see the others on the big top-five. I want to see Penny and Charlie and Sarah, all of them. You know? Just see ’em and talk to ’em. You know, like a Bruce Springsteen song.
Bruce Springsteen: You call, you ask them how they are and see if they’ve forgiven you.
Rob: Yeah, and then I’d feel good. And they’d feel good.
Bruce Springsteen: They’d feel good, maybe. But you’d feel better.
Rob: I’d feel clean and calm.
Bruce Springsteen: That’s what you’re looking for, you know, get ready to start again. It’d be good for you.
Rob: Great, even.
Bruce Springsteen: Give that big final good luck and goodbye to your all time top-five and just move on down the road.
Rob: Good luck, Goodbye. Thanks, Boss.
The Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez flick Gigli has displaced Manos, the Hands of Fate from the #2 spot on the imdb.com Bottom 100 list (the 100 worst films). This provided a moment of amusement this morning, especially since I’ve seen the latter film and can testify to its absolute, derelict awfulness. It’s not even funny bad like Plan 9 from Outer Space; it’s just bad bad. How can I have seen Manos, and not Jurassic Park? Good question.
Donald was about half an hour into Amélie when I returned to the apartment in the middle of doing laundry last night. Seeing as how I can’t start watching a movie that far into it, the film is in the cards for tonight. Looking forward to it, especially after Donald’s raves about it.
J’écrirai davantage plus tard.

I haven’t seen that one (GASP – a movie I haven’t seen) – you’ll have to let me know how it turns out :o)
I LOVE Amélie! I need to buy that movie. I can’t wait to hear what you think :o)
I thoroughly enjoyed Amélie.
I guess you can watch it without the subtitles, eh?
It was excellent (see upcoming post). Rent it! (if you like foreign films that is)
I need to buy that movie.
Me too.
:o)
Well yeah… but Leslie and Donald ended up watching it with me. I blocked out the subtitles by holding up the remote in front of me for most of the movie, though.
That movie was…
…Yeah, it was good :o)
I definitely will :o)
So… I’m taking it you liked it :o) I knew you would. Hope you have a great day!
