I’m not getting enough quality sleep at night, especially after the epic tennis battle with Aaron last night. I beat him for the first time in a long while, probably a year or so. Our respective serves were models of inconsistency, just like they usually are, to the point where, in a set, we’re not breaking each others’ service games, but we’re breaking each others’ returns. Heh. My ground strokes were under control and accurate, though. There was a confidence there, so although I have the height to be a serve-and-volleyer, I was “just” a baseliner last night. ‘Twas good fun. I won the first set 6-3, then being the triathlete that he is (seriously), he kept going while I faltered a bit and won the second set 6-4.

Funny how watching the sport on television (in this case, Wimbledon) inspires me to go out and play a better tennis game. Maybe I’m a visual learner? That’s probably part of it.

Nothing of depth this morning. Maybe after I take my nap this evening…
