Rained a bit today… Just enough to glisten off the windshield to the rhythm of the streetlights I passed under. It lent a certain relevance to the bridge of a U2 song I was singing along with.

My family is coming tomorrow. I’m looking forward to it, though the apartment isn’t nearly clean enough. They have a 8-9 hour drive; which is a good thing in this case.

“Took a drive in the dirty rain/To a place where the wind calls your name/Under the trees, the river laughing at you and me/Hallelujah, Heaven’s white rose, the doors you open, I just can’t close.”

    That one?

    Wow, I love U2.

That whole album is pretty fantastic. I haven’t listened to it for a while–I only have it on tape.

Have you checked out the B-sides album that came out a few years ago, bundled with the 1980-1990 Greatest Hits? There’s some good stuff on that one, too.
