It’s hard to remember what it was like when 11 p.m. was early, when, passing that hourly marker, I still had plenty of time before bed. It’s only been four months here… Am I that fickle? Do I forget my college days that quickly? I never really had much to tie me to college anyway; I thought four and a half years was plenty, that I wanted to be out in the working world, making my own way, looking out for myself, making money, basically. But the world rose to the challenge, and before I knew it, more money was being siphoned off that I would have known what to do with back in school. At least I am debt-free. I am very blessed in that respect. My parents, who provided for me through college, are the most incredible parents I know. I am enormously grateful to them, more than I know how to express.
Today was a briar patch of a workday, but I don’t want to get all riled up again. It’s taken me this long already to de-stress after work, and I think it best not to plunge into things again. Suffice it to say, a song that I recommended to a friend to sing for a local pageant, “One Day I’ll Fly Away,” is seeming very appropriate this evening.
The mint tea is wonderful, Elyse. Thank you for the gift, which I’ve only now sampled. I think it will be all gone in short order :o)

Sorry you had a stressful day……I am here if ya wanna talk! You would be happy to know that my audition went well…..I was happy:) Lost my breath a couple times:) But it’s all good! Yay!
I hope your day gets better:) thanks for being a great friend……I don’t know where I would be without you or SK2:)
de nada ;)
but it is strange how quickly someone’s circaedian rhythms can change… all of a sudden, getting up after 7:30 seems really, really late to me (whereas a month before I swore against getting up before 9) ;)
I think that there just isn’t a lot of a social life (for young people) down in your neck of the woods… but perhaps a good time to write (or draw, whicheveris your cup of, er, tea)
