Quiet evening. I worked on the car for a bit. The ECU is still giving me code 51 and 52s, which means my knock sensors and TPS are acting up. I suspect the knock sensor issue might have something to do with the female pin on the connector for the ECU not staying in all the way, so I JB welded it into place. The power was interrupted while I worked, so it cleared all the codes. Drove around this evening, some of it spirited, and the check engine light stayed off, which is good. If I get another code 51 (TPS), I’m going to try swapping my throttle body out for Don’s in Jacksonville. He’s got a spare, and I haven’t had any luck adjusting mine properly with the multimeter *sigh* At least I can still pull 5.5 psi of boost, even with the valves needing an adjustment and the exhaust bolt backing out again (the JB weld didn’t hold up to ~1200F, unfortunately. I’ve got another fix for it, though). Stock boost gauges are notorious for their incorrectness, however. I might very well be pulling higher than that, closer to the rated max of 6.8. Guess I won’t know until I get my aftermarket gauge… All in good time.

My black beans and rice came out quite well. The cornbread mixed up perfectly and didn’t stick a bit to the pan. Quite filling. Borrowed a cup of milk from my neighbors, too, which made me feel somewhat neighborly, even though I was the one borrowing. They’re good folks. I need something sweet for dessert, though… My miserliness is going too far when I walk down the dessert and snack aisle and automatically speed up. I’m adding Moose Tracks ice cream to my shopping list.

For now, dishes, shower, dental care, bed.
