It’s a cool, cloudy morning… I turned my driving lights on this morning on the way to work. I wish I had brought my umbrella in with me from the car, though.

The days tick by slowly sometimes. It’s difficult to believe some days that I’ve only been here three months. I feel locked in a rhythm of light and darkness, of stress during the day and relaxation during the evenings… Perhaps it isn’t as bad as all that, but sometimes my experience here just seems distilled to its most basic elements. Watched The Maltese Falcon last night. It was a good movie–very chess-like in the plot and layers of symbolism and exposition. Still haven’t seen Rear Window… I think that’ll be next on my list of old movies to watch.
