My chocolate fix for this afternoon has been had. It’s been good. I’ve been productive and am clawing my way into a position of competency and respect among my coworkers. Also, Bob’s really going to buy Twinkie. I will experience something I haven’t experienced in a long time–owning only one car. Well, no, that’s not entirely true, since my 240Z is back up in NC, but the Supra will be the only car I have available. Guess I won’t wring it out as much as I have. It’ll be a new way of thinking. I can’t just tear into the engine bay with wild abandon on the weekend like I have in the past. Logistics will have to be planned more carefully. I’ll be okay, though. As far as sports cars go, it’s a reliable vehicle, and I’m confident in my mechanical abilities. I can tackle anything that comes up.
I finally found out when summer shutdown is going to be–the week of July 28 through August 3. Far cry from the huge swaths of times allotted for summer vacation when I was back in school. Enjoy those, kids. What to do during that time? I’ll have another chunk of money saved up by then. I’d love to venture off the continent for a bit. Any ideas? Could I come visit any of you?

Ha. I don’t even get a week off in the summer anymore! I miss spring break and winter break and summer vacation.
*sigh*
well, you know we aren’t *that* far away…
if you happen to find yourself going through north alabama, we might could meet up somewhere…
you asked, so, it’s just a thought :) :P
my kids would prolly think it would be cool..
Me too… Not helping the situation is the fact that I have to be at work at 7 every morning.
*sigh indeed*
That would be fun :o) We’ll have to see… It’s still a few months away.
Hoping you’re having a great day so far :o)
I get excited when I get to take little *field trips* for work.
woo-hoo!
A trip to the printer today!
Ha ha :o) Yeah, I take “trips” down the docks and through the assembly building when I feel myself beginning to nod off, or I just need to clear my mind… It works surprisingly well–for a few minutes. In a pinch, a short excursion to the restroom will suffice, but my comsumption of caffeine causes me to do that way too often anyway… Ain’t office life fun?
…. and they wonder why office rats drink so much coffee! Not only is it a drug to keep us awake….
It’s a diuretic!
Sometimes I wear weird stuff to work, that keeps people guessing and amuses *me* at the same time. Got some funny looks today, in fact, because I ‘dressed up’ for my field trip.
(he he)
:) yeah…
i’m having a good day, but my kids aren’t :(
my grandma had to come by and pick up some meds for Aaron, and take them to the school. he was coughing alot and was complaining of a headache.
and Alex had a real bad headache this morning and a fever of 103. :(
he is doing a bit better as of now, though…
hope you are having a good day… :)
God bless you :)
Goodness. I’m praying for you guys. 103… Wow. Tell him get well soon for me :o)
My day’s been good so far. Pretty busy, but not too bad :o) It’s going to be a scorcher, though–95 degrees. Thank goodness for AC and ice-cold soda pop.
:o) Sounds like your “field trips” are closer to “safari excursions.” What kind of weird stuff do you wear for these epic journeys to the copy machine and the restroom?
thanks a bunch for the prayers.. :)
ouch…95? it’s supposed to be in the mid to upper 80’s here.
if it were about 75 all the time, with nice big fluffy clouds to occasionally provide shade, and a nice calm breeze….that would be nice..perfect. :)
i love weather where you can be comfy in either pants or shorts.
i have my windows open right now, but i know i’ll have the ac on real soon. :)
continue to have a good day! :)
