just the facts

1. They’ve cut back my hours at work a bit, seeing as how they’re spending far too much on a trade show in Atlanta in August and they’re looking for any way to economize. But I am still working enough, although, truth be told, I am looking for a little extra work to supplement the main job.

2. Diane and Luke and I are very well. There has not been a day in the past couple of months in which we have not seen each other. We had a lovely weekend at my parents house in Chapel Hill a couple of weekends ago and profited greatly from the mini-vacation. We had dinner with Bekah and Donald at Breadmen’s on Rosemary St. the night we arrived. I was freshly reminded why they are two of my favorite people, and we had a splendid time.

3. Flying continues, albeit at a slower pace. I flew a couple of Fridays ago with Larry and we had a good time practicing landings and sequencing ourselves vis-a-vis traffic down at Lexington. I would like to fly this Saturday morning with Diane again.

4. I spent Independence Day with her family in Lewisville, watching a surprisingly sophisticated fireworks show in the main square, populated by the majority of the townsfolk. Very enjoyable.

5. Haven’t felt particularly creative lately, at least in the direction of my journal here. As I told Diane, she (appropriately) gets all the “good stuff.” Heh.
