I drove home tonight under the starry sky. I eschewed the highway for the local roads that would take me home. I drove with the sunroof open to the night air, silhouettes of trees passing over constellations for the split seconds that I dared to look upward. Still, my peripheral vision caught the spirit of the drive, and I felt free. I felt clear. I felt Yes as I thought about her and the good day we had today, and how very true for me are the verses, “The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places,” (Ps. 16:6a) and, “I am still confident of this: I will see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.” (Ps. 27:13) Oh, how I have already seen His goodness…
