i’ve relied on my illusions / to keep me warm at night
I love my little digital camera, but boy does it need help taking low-light pictures. Out of the bunch I took, these were the only reasonably presentable ones.

Out the left side of the airplane. You can the lights reflecting off the underside of the wing.

In the dim glow of the instrument panel.

The majesty of…Greensboro.
Overall, night flying was very beautiful, relaxing and fun, although it was harder to find the airports than I thought it’d be, especially with all the light congestion. Landing was also interesting until I got the hang of it. Rate of descent can be harder to judge with fewer visual cues. But the air is smooth, traffic is sparse and easy to spot if at a higher altitude, and looking down at the sleepy world produces an emotion I don’t really have the words for right now.

wow! greensboro is kind of… green.
I love that song
Cool photos, M :)
i love that icon
I do too. It’s on my birthday cd, which I’ve been listening to quite frequently lately. The Nickel Creek songs you included are wonderful. Heck, they all are.
Happy Friday! :)
The red glow and the blank stare in the second one makes ya look kinda demonic! Bet they won’t use that one for an MAI brochure photo anytime soon! : D
Sounds like a sublime experience! I can’t even imagine how utterly splendid it must be to actually be flying a plane… seeing the world from a whole different perspective. Wow.
Haha! Yeah…at least my pupils aren’t red :) That would complete the image I think.
