Welcome end to a crazy week. I will visit the blankets shortly but for now it just feels good to sit here. My parents are rolling into town tomorrow to bring a recliner, possibly see Luke and Diane and get a plane ride, weather permitting.

The president of the company I work for saw me working out in the gym yesterday morning. I didn’t recognize him at all. Later that day during his birthday festivities in the office, after we had sung and divvied up the cake, he made a beeline for me and struck up a conversation. It turns out he plays racquetball there too some mornings, so I did the impertinent and suggested myself as a potential player, something he was very willing to accommodate. So I’m stuck now with the age-old question: Do I beat my boss, and if so, how badly?

As a side note, the Beatles’ “Maxwell’s Silver Hammer” was playing in the weight room at one point, and it’s been lilting through my head ever since.

Who cares about the boss? You have to win and win as well as possible.;-P
