pueblo nuevo
- I am listening to Cuban jazz.
- The windows are open to the cool fall air.
- The insects chirp softly outside but there are no intrusive night noises whatsoever.
- The ceiling fans are revolving slowly overhead.
- The lamps are on, spreading around a warm light.
- I have just come back from an excellent 4-mile run.
- Looking up at the sky while cooling down from the run, I immediately saw the summer triangle (Deneb, Altair and Vega) and my favorite constellation, Cygnus.
- I have replenished myself with a cup of frosted mini-wheats and several glasses of cold, filtered water.
- Labor day is tomorrow and there are no classes.
- I used a weedwacker yesterday and really enjoyed it.
- My yard looks excellent, trimmed and clipped.
- I had a great phone conversation with Leslie not a few hours ago.
- I just won a poetry contest. Yay free travel mug!
- I bought a practically new washer and dryer set last week for $300.
- I have discovered that I can get a membership at a local YMCA for $7/month as a student.
Thank you God, for moments like these, such as they are.

:)
your poem is beautiful.
congratulations!
Awesome. I’ve learned to treasure such moments, as, obviously, have you. Sometimes things just seem to come together when you’re right where you’re supposed to be. It’s a wonderful feeling of peace that comes even when life may not exactly be what we might describe as a ‘peaceful’ lifestyle. I depend on God for moments such as this.
Blessings,
John
I love the bullet style posts.
Glad you are having a good weekend!
Thank you :)
Agreed.
I’ll be back in town this coming weekend. Will you be around?
I’ll have to make more bullet-style posts, then. My life in easy-to-digest blurbs, the wave of the future!
:) Hope your weekend’s been good too, Andrea.
I’ll be here. In fact, we got some goings on this weekend…
1) Friday from 5PM onward – Mazda club group dyno time at CAM, followed by a, probably, pizza dinner, and then some karting. I know they’d love to have you show up, if possible…
2) a ‘car guys’ get together at Mike’s (not Fuller) to play some GT4 around 3PM or so.
Lemme know if you’re interested. Hope to see you around!
Oh, and i have some new parts for the FD that i can show-and-tell, as well… :-P
I have a wedding to go to on Saturday, so that will probably take up most of the day, and I have to head back that evening so I can attend church here on Sunday (long story). I’ll see if I can stop by on my way back if I can. I wanna see the FD improvements :)
