Tired and sore from this new workout routine Aaron, our friend Craig, and I are doing. I have one package of Easy Mac left, too: not a good thing.
I went to the mall with Aaron and Craig after our workout in order for them to buy some protein powder from GNC. While in the mall, I noticed the Williams-Sonoma store. I would really love to work for them. They create some of the most artfully designed appliances and products I’ve seen, much less tacky than Sharper Image or Brookstone or something like that. That realization in the mall corroborated with something that had been floating around in my mind for a while: that if I want to get a job, I really have to be proactive about it (I’m already using the buzzwords–proactive. Shame, shame…) I have to find several places that I would really enjoy designing for, and let them know that. To that end, I applied online to Williams-Sonoma earlier. We’ll see what happens. Even if they turn me down, I’ll recontact them with an updated portfolio. I’m getting into this.
