if the sky can crack, there must be some way back
The mother of all electrical storms has been taking place outside for the past few hours. First the heat lightning, then the smattering of big raindrops, then the crashes all around amid the downpour. I swear we must have had one or two touch down (or more technically correct, go up) right across the street. The power’s cut off twice. In the beginning it was beautiful and powerful but now it’s a little tedious, especially since the cat has been huddled under the couch issuing the most terrified, abject, forlorn meows imaginable. More rumbling. Time for shower + bed.

I´m afraid of storms with a lot of lightning. Especially when it accompanies thunder. And I´m 21 years old.
*hides*
Yeah, we drove through that on the way to Boone…
We had the most brilliant and blinding flash of lightning hit not 1/2 miles away while i was on the porch of my parent’s cabin. The ensuing crack was the loudest i’ve ever heard. I knew it was going to be loud, but this was incredible and the rumbling shockwave lasted for a good 20 seconds at least. Crazy man.
(Oh, and the power went out last night here as well. :)
Behold!
I have returned…more nerdy than ever!
Living in “Lightning Alley” (a.k.a central Florida) I’d have thought you’d be desensitized to it all by now…
I can’t imagine driving through that deluge. Insanity.
So you have! Nice user id! Now to add you…
