car wheels on a gravel road
Just got back from camping at Linville Gorge. Splendid time, except for the fact that I am typing quite laboriously at the moment since I broke/sprained (we don’t know yet–the urgent care place’s x-ray machine was on the fritz) my left pinky finger after slipping on a mossy rock in mid-stream while swimming down in the gorge. Consequently, my left hand is all wrapped up in “Ace Wrap” for the time being, and I look like the world’s tallest, skinniest boxer after taping up one hand in preparation for a fifteen-rounder…
Took loads of pictures too. Attempted to go stargazing last night but was thwarted by an overcast sky (although the soft, constant breeze blowing up from the gorge over the top of the west ridge, where our camp was, almost made up for it). Oh well.
Glad you had a good time…I hope your hand feels better soon!
