1. I’m selling several items on eBay at the moment, one of them a car tool that I’d purchased a few months back with the intent of using it to do some suspension work on my car. The tool is too big to fit under the fender of my little sedan, so I’m selling it. Thing is, I bought it from Harbor Freight Tools for around $30, and it’s currently selling for $50, and the buyer pays shipping. I even included the Harbor Freight item number in the auction listing so prospective bidders could look up the item’s price when new. I guess some people just don’t shop around…
2. I ate at the brand spanking new Rams Head Center cafeteria here at UNC today with Susan and her husband Ed. Amazing place, really. The food is beyond reproach for an all-you-can-eat $7.25 lunch (I had a chicken fajita and two slices of pizza) and the facilities are spotless, as well they should be. The overall design reminded me of a 1920s Le Corbusier architectural drawing of his visions for a “society of the future.” Efficient, high-tech, somewhat sterile… but good.
3. I have the house to myself all week this week. My parents have gone to San Francisco for a business trip and an mini-excursion around the wine country of central California. So it’s just Cleo (the cat) and me for a few days. Of course that can only mean one thing: Par-tay.
Just kidding. Maybe.
I love dry humor. One thing indeed. ;)
