Ever been hungry, tired, excited, nervous, motivated, and wistful at the same time? It’s an interesting experience, let me tell you… I think it’s the emotional equivalent of burping, hiccuping, sneezing, and farting simultaneously, only in a more protracted sense, since the feelings last longer than an instant. Oh yeah. Lovely metaphor, no?

Gottadoitgottadoitgottadoitgottasortitoutyeah… w00t.

One of my cars started last night. This is a big deal. It was the white Supra, which has now been christened Sam on account of its alleged resemblance to an eagle (in car form, of course). Sam the Supra. Yep. Still got a few kinks to work out, but I might be driving something besides the ‘rentmobile to work before the week is through. Whatever happens, it’s certainly closer than it’s ever been to being done–since last August, at least, when it first went under the knife, automotively speaking. It’s nice that the one car out of my three that’s the closest to being done is the one I want to drive most, too, and that the weather is warming up just in time for me to drive around with the targa top off (that’s not my car, by the way–mine is white).

Okay. Enough about the cars. I talk to John too much about them anyway… We were up waaay too late last night discussing the stratification of the gearhead subculture and the prevailing mindsets and attitudes when it comes to performance modifications, among other things. Yep.

I’m working on nine projects simultaneously here at work. Anybody want to help?

It is a glorious day. The transparency of the air reminds me of family excursions into the mountains, on either this continent or the one across the pond, and forays up switchbacked roads through acres of evergreens. Clear. Pure. Breathe. Squint. Feel the infinitesimally nearer sun warm your forearms rapidly before a crisp gust snatches the heat away, ruffling your hair with a starkness befitting the increasingly rocky landscape…

I should find those pictures. But not this week… Heh :o)

If I can make you laugh in the library, I know my post was a success. You’ve discovered my evil plan to get you kicked out of the library! Curses!

Well… whether or not the name stuck, he still looks like an eagle in my book. About cars. That I wrote.
