The main reason yesterday’s morning was so dismal was I got pulled over on the way to work… It’s a long story, but suffice to say I got cited for driving with expired tags, etc etc… I have a mandatory court date but I should be able to get that taken care of. Regardless, it’s no fun. The rest of the morning went smoothly, though, I received a lot of support (prayer and otherwise) and lunch with Leslie and the rest of the day went pretty well. I even got in a good run last night (I was cruising, too–7:30 miles). I’m dragging today, but that’s okay.

Possibility for another small job to supplement my reduced income. I got wind of a freelance job I could do from my home computer, spending about 10 hours a week doing Quark and Illustrator work. 10 hours is definitely manageable, especially from home, and as a freelancer I could charge considerably more than I’m getting paid here. I’m going to call the contact about that in an hour or so… Pray for favor :o)

Now for an early lunch…

Pulled for speeding or pulled just for the tags?

  3. admin says:

Just the tags. I was lucky the car didn’t get towed. I was just stupid and lazy and didn’t get the car registered soon enough. Fortunately I had the title with me. I didn’t get it registered because my license had expired, and I couldn’t renew my license because I didn’t have glasses. But I got my license renewed today, so I just need to call a Mr. Ramirez (the previous owner of the car) and have him re-sign the title CORRECTLY so I can get the dumb thing registered, and all will be well. Except for getting it inspected. But anyway… *sigh* Have I mentioned lately how much “real life” sucks? Stay in school… :o)

    cited

About a year ago, my ex and I were coming out of a taco bell after eating some late night tacos. 15 seconds after leaving the parking lot we get pulled over. Turns out she just had her parking lights on and not her headlights. The bummer part was that she thought they were on, but we were on the main drag and it was all lit up like christmas. She got a ticket and had to go to court + traffic school. I think in this state you can get a video and take a test at home if you want to pay for it.

    Re: cited

I can’t believe they would put her through all that just for not having her lights on. Gosh. That’s a bit extreme–I’ve done that a few times and usually people just flash their lights at me before I remember and flip the switch.
