Fitful sleep last night… I had slept a good eight hours on Sunday night, and took a two-hour nap (much needed) yesterday, so on top of the illness it was doubly hard to get to sleep. Tossed and turned when I did, too. Don’t remember the specifics of what I dreamed about, but they were the frantic, off and on dreams, like a stone skipping on the surface of sleep… Not much fun.
But I’m here. It’s my first day as a “permanent” employee, so I made an extra effort to get here a little earlier than 8. I think the routine and consistency will be good for me–one less thing to stress about (and yes, it is stressful to not feel like you’re being a good employee–well, at least it is for me).
Found myself singing “Complainte de la Butte” this morning on the way to work, in between bites of peanut butter muffin halves. Dunno why.

Thanks :o) Not necessarily feeling any better, but if things haven’t gotten worse by this point in the course of the cold, they’re not likely to. So that’s good. That and the fact that it isn’t incapacitating. Just gotta take it easy for a few days, as much as I really want to get back out there and run… *sigh*

It’s a very melodic song… So it stands to reason that it could get stuck in your head without knowing the words or what they mean :o)
