Okay. Ready? Go to the UNC homepage. See that little detour icon on the left of the page (yeah, hard to miss, isn’t it)? That’s ME! Well, my handiwork, at least. Also, this whole page is me too. Kinda cool to have it out there. It’s a bit more immediate than print work. Speaking of…got the 8/13 issue of the Gazette today, and it looks pretty spifftacular, if I do say so myself. Especially the headline on the first page. Wasn’t sure how that was going to turn out. Okay, enough grandstanding.
Got the whole grad. school orientation manual situation figured out. Sort of. My client from the grad. school called me up this morning in a complete panic, and I could hear the twinge of fear in her voice, the kind that says, “This might cost me my job,” even if they don’t say it outright (and they wouldn’t). Jim was kind of frustrated too, but he’s going to print out extra copies of the standalone manual and distribute them. One thing’s for sure; we’re sure as heck not paying for them. At least it’s resolved, and everyone involved has been appeased, it seems. Exciting office life. Betty came back from vacation today and we had a staff meeting at 4 with munchies and everybody pigged out and talked about movies and clients and whatnot and had a good time. I liked it.

Me neither. I get the feeling no one really ever does… Sad, maybe, but there shouldn’t be such a premium on having things figured out anyway. Highly overrated.
