More pictures uploaded. Photography is a common interest my mom and dad share, so there’s never been a dearth of snapshot-taking in our family.

What was getting to me, looking through especially the early ’80s photos of all of us, was that in ten years or less, I’ll likely be where my dad was then, with a family, holding my newborn children in my arms and being overjoyed with them… There was a poignancy to my mood as I flipped through those pages. Something was moving within me; I felt like an oddly-placed third party, as my vantage point on the memories undergoes the subtle shift from participant as the child, and my life reconciles more closely with my parents situation then… It will be different; I know, but enough will be the same that it gives me reams to think about and conjecture.
