all systems go…
Wow… ’80s music overload. Thanks to the wonder of internet radio at work, I’ve now (in addition to being productive), positively identified and downloaded the following:
Crowded House – Don’t Dream It’s Over (the original and still the best)
Falco – Rock Me Amadeus (this song RULES)
Sade – The Sweetest Taboo
The Cure – Just Like Heaven
Level 42 – Something About You
Roxette – Dangerous
Peter Schilling – Major Tom
Erasure – A Little Respect (how had I not heard this one before? It’s awesome)
Thomas Dolby – She Blinded Me With Science
Nu Shooz – I Can’t Wait
A-Ha – Take On Me
Harold Faltermeyer – Axel F (the song that started it all)
Among others… Is there a better way to wait for one’s laundry to finish? Well, yeah, there is, but this is all I’ve got on a lonely Friday night. Dig it.

Serious nostalgia! Don’t forget “Melt with you” by Modern English. An awesome song in the Erasure/Cure tradition.
That’s a good one… Although the Burger King commercial kinda ruined it for me a bit. I lump that one together with “Come On Eileen” as songs that are way catchier than they really should be :o)
what great choices!
i love most of that stuff.. :)
heard the crowded house song last night on the radio (and it’s on my wishlist at half.com).. :)
i still love the amadeus song. several, several years ago, they used to show the movie amadeus on tv, and i would always have to watch it..
ahhh..i love all the synth of the 80’s!
