She came home with us last Friday. We got her from a very reputable Shih-Tzu breeder who lives a little east of town. I have to admit I wasn’t overly keen on a dog, not only because of the added responsibility, but because I’ve always had more of an attraction to cats. It’s not that dislike dogs… Other people’s, that is. But Maple’s almost won me over. We’re still in the midst of potty training, but we’re kind of in the flow (pun intended) of that with the kids anyway, so that’s no big deal, and the dog seems free of my major objections to her species–the smell and the barking are mercifully absent. I haven’t even heard her bark once, though she does whine loudly on occasion when she’s in her playpen alone. She’s a sweetie. More videos to come, I’m sure.
