I did not have a good day at work today. A few things were later than they should have been, and I’m working on the graduate school’s orientation manual, an utter waste of creativity and completely tedious, not to mention a few hundred pages long… I just have to flow new text in, and make changes to certain sections, and, and… It’s just one of those things.

Had lunch at Ham’s on Franklin St. with my officemates, which nearly redeemed that part of the day, since the cajun chicken sandwich I had was really good, but somehow it didn’t quite do it. Conversation was great, but all surface, as was to be expected.

I feel so paranoid at work sometimes. I thought that getting another job would erase anything residual from getting let go last summer, but it’s only by the grace of God that I had what I had then, and now. There’s just so much…in my mind, in my life, on my plate. I get, I get…overwhelmed. Quickly and easily. And the feeling creeps in that if I make one mistake, my position will be in jeopardy. Everybody has bad days, right? Bad weeks, even?

exploring all the likely …destinations
slowly wears away a place inside my heart.
but I’ll know exactly when the wandering’s over,
because you’ll fit so well with me.
