Saw the new Matrix film last night. Without spoiling anything for anyone, it was an amazing film, really. Completely engrossing, and great music as well. Of course, much of that might have had to do with the fact that Donald, Paul, and I were sitting in the center of the back row of the front section, pretty much at the convergence, the nexus of the bass waves, so that every time a boom or a deep note would resound it would vibrate through us. I suppose I’ll talk about it more when more people have seen it. It’s only a few days old. One thing, though: Awesome bike in the movie. Ducati 996, black, stylish, and rocket-sled fast. I enjoyed that bit particularly.
I can’t wake up this morning. I had a few bouts of vigorous agreement with the computer screen (i.e. nodding) about half an hour after I arrived, so I had to get up and walk around a bit. I would ingest something caffeinated, but nothing’s available (no coffee machine in the office, and I’m not a coffee drinker anyway). Perhaps I should invest in some soda to keep in the fridge. The fathomless depth of the ponderings that emanate from my grey matter astounds me. Yeah. I’ll write more when I’m more awake.

I saw the Matrix last night too!!! I thought it was pretty cool…very well done :o)
Cool :o) Where’d you see it? We were at the 10:15 showing at Southpoint.
I went to the 8:00 at Wynsong….We had thought about going to the Southpoint one but decided to go to an earlier show….
Gotcha. Earlier was probably better in this case… I’m still paying the penalty from going to see it so late. Ah well. Tomorrow’s Saturday :o)

Caught the Matrix myself, and also enjoyed the Ducati scene. Part of the movie was, of course, suspending disbelief, but could a cop car actually go faster than that Ducati?
Oh heavens no. The Ducati would suck the doors off the cop car in a straight contest. 0-60 in around, ah, 3 seconds, topping out around 175 mph. You must remember, though, at the risk of spoiling the movie a bit for someone, that the bike was moving against the flow of traffic at the time (if we’re thinking of the same moment, that is).
right- same moment. what I was specifically thinking of was Trinity riding against traffic on the shoulder. the agent in the cop car, going with the flow of traffic, caught up easily and glared at our heroine. of all the things in the movie, that scene was the hardest one for me to swallow :)
