I hear the sparse rain outside. It comes and goes, intermittent, peaceful, making me wish. I should be in bed, but well, this is what happens when you start watching Labyrinth at 12:30 in the morning…
Youth group went well. Jeremy led worship, which was kind of a blast from the past since he was the old worship leader before he stepped down. It was awesome. Will and I were in charge of the seventh and the eighth grade boys, with nothing planned, which is just a bad situation. We played Mafia, and then the knot game before they got hold of the kickball and we directed them outside. I left a bit early, around 10:30.
I miss. Objectively. And I love, and I want, and I ache, and more… Where is she? Where are you? Please, so many things. Things run together, my mind steals between the spaces and places and times and longings, a multicolor cloud of unnamed hues, bursting with a…with a… my heart’s hand closes around air, fingers meeting its palm.
It’s a bit raw. And a lot of other things. It’s not often that I can express them, so I take advantage of blue spaces when I can, when the times arrive, on cue. Is it wasted? I don’t think so. Everything will come together one Day. Any idealists out there? Welcome.
