Hmm. I was reading another guy’s journal today as he was gushing about his car, and realizing I do that, don’t I? It sounds pretty silly, doesn’t it? Even if you work on your car yourself… I think I’ll try to stick to less automotive topics in the future. Enough show-offy geekiness. Yeah.

i don’t think you should restrict yourself from talking about something that makes you giddy or happy because you think other people might be bored with it or find it silly. life is so short. and this is your journal. talk away.
besides. we understand. we have idiosyncracies too.
I think there’s a difference between being giddy and happy about something and showing off my possession/knowledge of the thing. Rest assured I’ll continue talking about the car, but I’m going to try to cut back on the flaunting. That’s what I want to avoid. I could have phrased it better, but oh well…
