It’s going to happen. It’s inevitable. I just know that one of these days… I just don’t know when.

I’m going to unwittingly trod on a dead jellyfish while running on the beach, and its little soft body will explode and send jellyfish entrails up into my face or something…

I’m fine with everything else, but gelatinous things–no. Snakes: piece o’ cake. Spiders: Oh, isn’t he cute. Lizards, worms: no sweat. But slugs, snails, jellyfish: GETITOFFGETITOFF! NOW!

Like I was telling Erin a few days ago on the phone, if I had been present when God was creating the animals, I would have said, “Y’know, God, these squishy creatures, can we rethink those? Ya gotta draw the line somewhere. Sir.”

It’s my only phobia and I’m sticking by it.
