Anyway, anyhow, anywhere
Penelope got an early Christmas present:

For those of you unfamiliar with the Bumbo™ Seat, it’s a firm rubber seat with a high, upright back and enclosing sides which enable her to sit upright and look around. She liked it this morning, but that’s generally her happy time of the day, so I’m not sure how indicative that will be. Diane can comment more authoritatively on that subject than I can, now having spent most of the day with her. Pen’s head control isn’t perfect yet so it does wobble around somewhat (we call her Harry Caray after Will Ferrell’s SNL impression), but her penchant for standing up has strengthened her neck muscles to the point where we feel like the Bumbo™ Seat is doable. If nothing else it will be an alternative to her little pink chair.
She’s all smiles these days. She’s very expressive, from Diane’s description more than Luke was, perhaps a combination of her gender and temperament? She’s desperate to be able to communicate, and whenever Diane and I engage her she makes a faint two-syllable, wet-sounding “a-goo.” Faces and voices fascinate her, and she definitely recognizes all the important people in her life. She’s absolutely beautiful and pretty much the most amazing thing I’ve ever seen.

Ahhh…the very nice shot of our kitchen wall, quite unfinished!
She is loving that seat…looking around like a big girl. Although, it does make her spit up more. Sigh.
i want to kiss her chubby little cheeks so bad!!!
