I’ll probably take the job down in St. Augustine, barring any amazing job leads tomorrow on the phone. I won’t be rich, by I will more than get by, and who knows, I might actually get to purchase a few goodies for my 240z along the way (replacement floor pan would be at the top of the list). We’ll see. I won’t go crazy or anything, but I suspect a new (old) car will be in the picture shortly.
Thank you, everyone who wished me happy birthday and came to see me. The party was a complete surprise, and even Tim came, which was really nice. He spent the night, and we stayed up late watching the greatest movie ever made, along with a really bad comic on Conan and some halfway decent Leno skits. Thanks for making the trek, Tim. It was good to see you.
I got a book about Formula 1 racing, some peppermint tea to go along with my teapot (now I really am going to have to become a tea drinker. It’s decaf, even), a copy of All Things Great and Small by James Henriot, a copy of my favorite movie (Joe Versus the Volcano, which, as I never tire of saying, is the greatest movie ever made. It’s got it all, in case you didn’t know), and a coupon from Erin for a free rock-climbing lesson, something I’ve been wanting to do for a long time. It was an eclectic assortment of gifts, and much, much appreciated. Thank you all.
Sorry I couldn’t make it, I really wanted to, but there was no way I could have gotten off work that early.

I’m glad you like the movie :o) It’s my all-time favorite, probably because most everything about it resembles dreams I’ve had… I have yet to try the peppermint tea. We’ll see how that goes :o)
