Exhausted. I should be in bed. After church today, Diane and Luke and I drove back to the parents’ house in Chapel Hill for an extended family meet ‘n’ greet. The occasion was Rachel and David’s wedding (next January) and a desire for all the relatives to get to know one another.

It went really, amazingly well, from our end of things at least. Luke didn’t take a nap but he was sociable and very well-behaved the whole time, and was excellent in the car, even taking a nap on the way home (against his best efforts–he’s not yet reached the point where he realizes Sleep is Good).

David and Rachel made him a late birthday present, a fleece blanket with an animal pattern on one side. It’s amazing, really, and we’re beyond grateful to them for it. Thank you guys, again.

Nothing more to read here. Just a placeholder.

Please continue to pray for my roommate David. After encountering some upheavals with regard to his job a week or so ago, he’s at a major crossroads in his life.

Constant activity yes, but so good throughout it all–and this from a two-year-old! You are an amazing mother, sweetheart :)
