you and me dying everyday
I just want it to be night all the time. I got up at 5:45 this morning so I could help the church set up for the service, got out of the house around 6:15 and was amazed at the number and clarity of the stars just before dawn. Orion was clear as crystal, as were the Charioteer and the Pleiades, and even the Crab, typically a very faint constellation, was in evidence. I lumbered over to the car in my semi-awake stupor and thought to myself how I just wanted the sky to be always the same, the stars and the red dashboard lights of my car as my companions as I drove around to see them and stay wherever they are, which is everywhere. Wet grass and blankets, cold, toboggans and sleep. I’m going crazy.
hmm…maybe it’s because i’m out at 6:15 every morning (as that’s when i leave for work), but i’ve never noticed the stars any more so then…maybe it’s also because i’m usually still half asleep because i didn’t get to bed early enough.. >.<

It’s an oldie–the second icon I ever had. I don’t use it much anymore…
It probably had something to do with the weather too. It was quite cold this morning and all the pollution in the atmosphere had likely fallen out, not to mention the fact that most homes and businesses are closed at quiet in the wee hours of Sunday morning, so the light pollution was minimal too.
