It’s from a satirically-themed site, but the article cuts closer to reality than most others. I remeber taking a materials & processes class in college and seeing pictures of Chinese factories taken by the professor during a trip there. Whatever remnants of consumerism I still had at that point were completely eradicated… It’s a big part of the reason why I’m not in a field that aligns directly with my college degree (industrial design).
