I only watched about 15 minutes of football yesterday. Didn’t anticipate being put to work before Thanksgiving dinner yesterday, but that’s what happened, as Gran made us all (the boys) do yardwork. I was mentally prepared to help clean up after dinner, and I did, but yeah. Come to think of it, I don’t really miss the football. It’s just atypical is all.
Afterwards we went over to Paul’s apartment and watched Shaolin Soccer, which is a riot, if you’ve never seen it.
It’s cold out. Scarf + beanie (toboggan?) weather for sure.
And gas-powered leaf blowers should die a long, grisly (yet silent) death, especially when I’m trying to sleep in. I’ll take my fall foliage, thanks, even if it’s down on the ground. Gives us something fun to trudge through on long walks around the neighborhood and in the woods.

shaolin soccer: one of the bestest movies ever made!
Oh it’s definitely awesome. Especially the part where they break into some very ill-advised and badly choreographed song and dance… Reminds me of certain other foreign movies–specifically ones involving ensemble casts of women. Dunno why, exactly… :)
you’ve seen 8 women, right?
Bien sur, mademoiselle. C’est de ça que je pensais.
I watched it first with you, remember? Rainy day, your house (i.e. the glorified shed)?
ah yes, how could I forget?
:)
are you still online?
isn’t it past your bedtime?
I’m online right now, but my away message is up (that is, if my computer hasn’t exploded).
And I was up waaay past my bedtime, but that’s a habitual occurrance.
Yay for DSL! This is like your triumphant return to the internet!
I know, there should be a movie about it or something ;)
(shall we amuse ourselves further by actually coming up with a plotline/soundtrack?)
hahaha
I definitely think the music that plays during the opening credits should be “The Final Countdown” by Europe.
I got your wonderful (though slightly enigmatic) postcard yesterday! I was highly amused and entertained by the car picture on the front, and even more amused that they had chosen to infringe on the writing space on the back by depicting the safety features (including airbags!) of said car. The whole “behind 3 doors” thing confused me a bit, though… Maybe I’m missing something in the picture? And you should kindly tell nice Irish gents to refrain from distracting you whilst you write so that you may maintain an uninterrupted flow of thought :)
I’m kidding of course. I wouldn’t want it any other way. Thank you!
I was going to write something along lines of game show: behind door one is pretty if flaky chinese girl, door two is mangey dog, three is the car ;)
but then again, distractions and me tend to get together far too often for a whole postcard to even be written coherently (how sad/funny)
