After being here for about a month and setting up the house and paying for school… money’s finally starting to get a little tight. Doesn’t help that money management and the perils of bad credit and consumer debt are the lecture topics of the last two “Student Life Seminars” I’ve been to (my token one-credit-hour course at PBC). Not that I have any debt, but being lectured to about financial doom and gloom, while occasionally necessary, never sits well afterward. And really, how hard is it to find a decent part-time job? Are people looking at my application\/resume and rejecting me out of hat because I’m overqualified or something? I’ve applied at about 8-10 places, made callbacks, talked to managers… Nothing yet. It’s ridiculous. Am I that unemployable? Does finding a job really depend that much<\/i> on who you know and your personal connections?<\/p>\n
